Best of Lower Zambezi Safari

Upon your arrival at Lusaka Airport from your international flight, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. They will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Kanyemba Lodge, a friendly and adventurous journey of approximately 3 hours.

Once you arrive, check in and enjoy an afternoon tea. You will then head out for an afternoon activity, which could be a boating excursion or a sunset cruise. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Your day will begin with a morning breakfast, followed by an activity of your choice, such as a walking safari, angling, canoeing safari, boating, village walk, banana plantation tour, or a sunset cruise. After the morning adventure, you'll return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy some relaxation time before afternoon tea. You will then head out for another activity, such as boating or a sunset cruise. The day will conclude with dinner at the lodge and a comfortable night’s rest.

After breakfast, embark on an exploration of the Lower Zambezi National Park with our expert guides.

Kanyemba Lodge is located about 45 km outside the park, so we offer full-day game drives for guests staying a minimum of three nights. Early in the morning, you'll depart the lodge for a 1.5-hour boat ride downstream to the base camp of Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ), where you will transfer to our open-top game drive vehicle.

The entire day will be spent exploring the park, where we’ll navigate various loops in search of four of the Big Five (elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard), along with a variety of herbivores and bird species. After a picnic lunch, we'll leisurely make our way back to CLZ, where you'll transfer back to the boat for the return journey to the lodge, arriving around 6 pm. Once back, you can relax before enjoying dinner and heading to bed at your convenience.

Please note that our vehicle has no shelter due to the park’s vegetation, so we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, especially for those with fair complexions. Neutral-colored clothing is required, and there is a minimum age of 12 years to participate in National Park trips.
